Dr. Connie Capdevila Brophy, MA, PhD, has a degree and a doctorate in Psychology, specializing in Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy, Mediation, and Parenting Coordination.

She is a registered practitioner in Conflict Management / Mediation and in Educational Psychology by the Col·legi Oficial de Psicologia de Catalunya (COPC). She is certified by EuroPsy in Psychotherapy and Psychology and is part of the registry of mediators of the Centre de Mediació de la Generalitat de Catalunya.

She has more than 35 years of professional experience. After working in New York for 9 years, where she served as director of a clinic for alcoholism and mental health problems, she returned to Barcelona in 1995. She offers individualized services to adolescents, adults, and their families and couples with occasional crises or long-term issues. She helps to deal effectively with emotional and behavioral problems, relational conflicts, couple breakups, co-parenting, alcoholism, depression, anxiety, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, and post-traumatic stress.

Currently, she combines her private practice with other activities, including teaching. In the COPC, she coordinated the working group of parent coordination for high conflict divorce (2013-2018); she was part of the COPC Governing Board (2018-2022) and is currently vice-president of the Section of Alternatives for Conflict Resolution (2023-2026) and vice-president of the Societat Catalana de Mediació en Salut.
