Dr. Alessia Simon is a doctor specializing in General Psychiatry and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy, pillars that underpin her clinical approach, which also integrates elements of psychodynamic, humanistic and, more recently, the systemic-relational model.<\/p>\n

She completed her medical degree at the University of Cluj Napoca (Transylvania), where she also earned her PhD in the Department of Neurology. She began her psychiatry residency at the public hospital Vivantes in Berlin and completed it at the University Hospital of Zurich (PUKZ). Throughout her training, she focused particularly on Emergency Psychiatry, with a strong emphasis on psychopathology and pharmacology, and received specialized training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) at a center dedicated to patients with borderline personality disorder.<\/p>\n

During the last years of her residency, she worked in a private practice in Berlin (Familienpraxis Freiheit 12), where she specialized in Systemic Psychotherapy, Creative Therapies (art, music and writing), and Group Therapy with children, adolescents and families. She also completed a training in Clinical Hypnotherapy at the Milton Erickson Institute in Berlin and deepened her practice of Mindfulness. In parallel, she also worked as a neurologist at the private practice \"Neurologie am Tempelhofer Hafen\".<\/p>\n

Since 2021, she has been based in Barcelona, where her clinical focus has shifted toward Integrative Psychiatry\u2014an approach that considers the biological, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural dimensions of mental health.<\/p>\n

Thanks to her international background, Dr. Simon provides clinical care in five languages: Spanish, English, German, Romanian, and Hungarian, enabling her to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population and to offer culturally sensitive care.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
