Registration No. 26.843 (COMB)<\/h6>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_1 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module et_pb_text_align_center\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>Dr. Palao, MD, PhD, is a physician and board certified in General Psychiatry (MIR) at the Hospital Cl\u00ednic de Barcelona. He has been developing an intense clinical, teaching and research activity. He has also held various management positions in integrated psychiatry services.<\/p>\n<div><span>He is currently the Director of the Mental Health Service at the Corporaci\u00f3 Sanit\u00e0ria Universit\u00e0ria Parc Taul\u00ed in Sabadell (Barcelona)\u2014which manages the majority of public specialized mental health services in the Vall\u00e8s Occidental region\u2014as well as a Professor of Psychiatry at the Universiitat Aut\u00f2noma de Barcelona (UAB) and a Principal Investigator at CIBERSAM.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span>He has led and collaborated on research projects across various fields that have been published and\/or presented as doctoral theses. These lines of research are currently being pursued within the framework of the UAB\u2019s Parc Taul\u00ed University Institute Foundation, which also houses the Mental Health Observatory of Catalonia.<\/span><\/div>\n<p>He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Health and Addictions Master Plan of Catalonia and is the coordinator of Catalonia\u2019s Suicide Prevention Plan (PLAPRESC 2021-2025).
