Dr. Dolores Vilas, MD, PhD, completed her Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2006, following which she specialized in Neurology at the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital from 2007 to 2011. Subsequently, she focused her expertise on Movement Disorders, particularly in Parkinson’s disease, as well as Cognitive Disorders.
Throughout her professional career, Dr. Vilas has actively participated in various research projects, with a particular emphasis on the prodromal phase of Parkinson’s disease. In recent years, she has directed her efforts towards advanced therapies and the development of new therapeutic modalities, such as high-intensity focused ultrasound guided by magnetic resonance imaging, to address tremor treatment.
In addition to her clinical dedication, Dr. Vilas continues to excel in the field of research on neurodegenerative diseases.
